Dany's Story

Daniel Miranda Echaniz

HEAD COACH

Daniel is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. He played American football from ages 8 to 18 and coached children’s leagues during his last two seasons as Defensive and Fitness Coordinator.

Daniel left the sports field to pursue his degree and career, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Hotel Management and working in one of the most recognized hotel chains for 10 years.

After this, he felt the need to reconnect with sports which motivated him to resume his training. His first contact with CrossFit was on one of his trips to D.F. where a friend showed him a video of a new fitness system called CrossFit.

After seeing the video, he fell in love with the philosophy and dynamics of the CrossFit training.

He began studying CrossFit, working to understand the WODs. He found a local gym where they taught functional training in an evolution towards CrossFit.

Later, Daniel took the CrossFit Level 1 course, successfully obtaining a training license. His love for teaching and passion for service motivated him to teach some classes in the gym where he trained.

His passion was so great that he decided to change his 10-year career as a Hotelier and dedicate himself full time to CrossFit. Shortly afterwards he obtained the CrossFit Weight Lifting Trainer license as well as the Movement and Mobility license.

His greatest pride is seeing that his work is positively impacting the health and performance of the CrossFit community. He has a passion for continued learning and preparing daily to give the service and quality that the CrossFit brand represents.
